The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Upson County Sheriff’s Department arrested a former school teacher and registered nurse for possession of child pornography and meth.
Dawn Deborah Brantley, 44, was taken into custody after her home was searched and authorities found images of child porn on her computer, methamphetamine and meth smoking devices.
Brantley’s three children, two teens and a 12 year old were taken from the home and placed in the custody of the Department of Family and Children’s Services. She remains in the Upson County Jail.
The GBI says more arrests are likely, Brantley is the 112th person apprehended this year by the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, less than 5% are women.
