GISA COMING TO THOMASTON

THE PRIVATE SCHOOL COUNTERPART OF THE GA. HIGH SCHOOL ASSOCIATION , THE GEORGIA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL ASSOCIATION IS MOVING TO THOMASTON. ACCORDING TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR DR. JEFF JACKSON, THE GISA HAS PURCHASED THE MEDICAL BUILDING AT WEST GORDON AND JACKSON AVE. AND WILL BE RELOCATING ITS GRIFFIN OFFICE, THE FIRST OF NEXT YEAR. TWO MEMBERS OF THE GISA STAFF LIVE IN THOMASTON, ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR TOMMY WHITTLE AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT ROBIN AYLOR. DR. JACKSON SAID THE GISA IS ESTABLISHING AN ATLANTA OFFICE IN SANDY SPRINGS FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS AND GOVERNMENT RELATIONS AND THE THOMASTON OFFICE WILL HANDLE ACADEMICS ,ATHLETICS AND BUSINESS. THE GISA HAS 153 MEMBER SCHOOLS AND DR. JACKSON SAID THE THOMASTON OFFICE WILL BE ABLE TO ACCOMMODATE LARGER MEETINGS THAN THE GRIFFIN OFFICE, WHICH WAS BEING LEASED.
