UPSON MAN UNDERGOES 6 HOURS OF SURGERY AFTER A FORKLIFT ACCIDENT IN BARNESVILLE

TIM ROYAL,  AGE  49  OF  BETHANY  CHURCH  ROAD,  SPOKE  WITH WTGA NEWS  FROM HIS HOSPITAL  BED  IN  MACON,  WEDNESDAY.  TIM  SAID  THE  SURGERY  TUESDAY   TO  HIS  NECK  AND  BACK  WAS  TO  REMOVE  BONE  SPURS,  AND  HE  SAID  HE  HAS  VERY  LITTLE MOTION AND  FEELING  IN  HIS LEFT  ARM  AND LEG. HE  TOLD  US  HE  COULD BE  TRANSFERRED TO  THE   SHEPARD  SPINAL  CENTER  IN  ATLANTA.

 

TIM WAS  DRIVING  A  FORKLIFT  AT    JORDAN  FOREST PRODUCTS IN  BARNESVILLE  SATURDAY  WHEN  HE  HIT  SOME  RAILROAD   TRACKS    AND   HE  WAS  EJECTED.  HE  WAS LIFE FLIGHTED  TO  THE  MACON  MEDICAL  CENTER.
