THOMASTON POLICE, GBI, AND GA. LOTTERY INSPECTORS RAIDED 7 CONVIENCE STORES TUESDAY AND SEIZED $60,000 IN CASH.

ACCORDING  TO  LT.  ANDREW  PIPPIN  THE  STORES  WERE  IMPLICATED  IN  PROVIDING  CASH  PAY-OFFS  FOR  LOTTERY  MACHINES, SOMETHING  NOT  ALLOWED  BY  GA. LAW—ONLY  STORE  MERCHANDISE,  GAS,  AND LOTTERY   TICKETS  CAN  BE  GIVEN  TO  WINNERS.

THE  SEVEN  STORES INCLUDE—HANDI  MART,  204 EAST  WALKER,  BEST  VALUE,  350 SOUTH  CHURCH,  NORTHSIDE  SHELL, 278  19  NORTH, MINI MOUTH FOODS,  517  SOUTH  CENTER, MR.  B’S  401 NORTH  CENTER, MAIN  STREET  BILLIARDS, 110  EAST MAIN, AND   7-11 GROCERY , 204  BARNESVILLE  STREET.

LT. PIPPIN  SAID  THE  INVESTIGATION  IS  CONTINUNING.
