On April 28, 2016 Thomaston Police Department Officers Bruce Gilbert and Officer Mathew Allen received the bronze award from the organization “MADD” (Mothers against Drunk Drivers) in Atlanta, GA. Officer Allen recorded 34 DUI arrest in the city of Thomaston and this was the third consecutive year Officer Gilbert received the award for recording 29 DUI arrest in 2015.
